Baptism: A Step of Faith, Commitment, and Obedience
We believe that the next step after faith in Jesus Christ is baptism. We baptize by immersion, following the biblical example of identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
Baptism is an outward expression of a person’s faith, commitment, and obedience to Jesus Christ. It is a significant step in a believer’s walk with the Lord.
Requirements for Baptism
A person who desires to be baptized must complete the following:
1. Complete the Baptism Packet
The individual must complete the baptism packet as part of the preparation process.
2. Watch the Baptism Video
The individual must watch the designated baptism video to understand why we are baptized and the commitment and responsibility involved.
3. Fast Before Baptism
The individual must fast beginning at sundown on the day before the baptism and continue fasting until after the baptism.
At the time of baptism, the individual is baptized by immersion in the baptistry. The baptism is performed in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Through baptism, the believer publicly identifies with Jesus Christ and demonstrates a willingness to follow Him in faith, commitment, and obedience.
